چکیده

The problem of gain-scheduled state feedback control for discrete-time linear systems with time-varying parameters is considered in this paper. The time-varying parameters are assumed to belong to the unit simplex and to have bounded rates of variation, which depend on the values of the parameters and can vary from slow to arbitrarily fast. An augmented state vector is defined to take into account possible time-delayed inputs, allowing a simplified closed-loop analysis by means of parameter-dependent Lyapunov functions. A gain-scheduled state feedback controller that minimizes an upper bound to the H∞ performance of the closed-loop system is proposed. No grids in the parametric space are used. The design conditions are expressed in terms of bilinear matrix inequalities (BMIs) due to the use of extra variables introduced by the Finsler’s lemma. By fixing some of the extra variables, the BMIs reduce to a convex optimization problem, providing an alternate semi-definite programming algorithm to solve the problem. Robust controllers for time-invariant uncertain parameters, as well as gain-scheduled controllers for arbitrarily time-varying parameters, can be obtained as particular cases of the proposed conditions. As illustrated by numerical examples, the extra variables in the BMIs can provide better results in terms of the closed-loop H∞ performance. Copyright q 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Robust gain-scheduled control of linear parameter-varying systems with uncertain scheduling parameters in the presence of the time-invariant uncertainties

In this paper, a new approach is presented to design a gain-scheduled state-feedback controller for uncertain linear parameter-varying systems. It is supposed that the state-space matrices of them are the linear combination of the uncertain scheduling parameters. It is assumed that the existed uncertainties are of type of time-invariant parametric uncertainties with specified intervals. Simulta...

In this article, a new approach is proposed to design robust switching gain-scheduled dynamic output feedback control for switched uncertain continuous-time linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. The proposed robust switching gain-scheduled controllers are robustly designed so that the stability and H2-gain performance of the switched closed-loop uncertain LPV system can be guaranteed even und...

In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy control scheme is proposed for a class of perturbed strict-feedback nonlinear systems with unknown discrete and distributed time-varying delays, and the proposed design method does not require a priori knowledge of the signs of the control gains.Based on the backstepping technique, the adaptive fuzzy controller is constructed. The main contributions of the paper...

FINITE-TIME PASSIVITY OF DISCRETE-TIME T-S FUZZY NEURAL NETWORKS WITH TIME-VARYING DELAYS

This paper focuses on the problem of finite-time boundedness and finite-time passivity of discrete-time T-S fuzzy neural networks with time-varying delays. A suitable Lyapunov--Krasovskii functional(LKF) is established to derive sufficient condition for finite-time passivity of discrete-time T-S fuzzy neural networks. The dynamical system is transformed into a T-S fuzzy model with uncertain par...

Intelligent Gain-scheduling Control for Multivariable Discrete Linear Time Varying Systems

This paper proposes an Intelligent Linear Parameter Varying (ILPV) control approach for multivariable discrete Linear Time Varying (LTV) systems. An optimal linear quadratic closed loop control law is developed for each identified multivariable model so that the controlled system tracks a desired trajectory over the entire time interval. A gain scheduling adaptive control scheme based on neural...
